If you haven’t noticed, WE LOVE OUR FELLOW BLOGGERS!
I’ve featured some very informative bloggers this year…on relevant topics like social media, filmmaking, and pitching (just search a topic to check out other content), so when I was approached by my colleague and friend, Peter Adediran, the founder of PAIL® Solicitors, from across the pond to do a guest post I didn’t blink an eye. I’ve learned that you can’t run a successful blog in a bubble. It truly is a collaborative effort!
So, this week I am sending you to the UK to read my guest post here
As an overview, if you have been following me around the Internet the past few years, you are aware that I long ago pronounced the traditional music industry model to be on life support (I even did a video on it about 3 years ago…if you find it let me know). Well, it turns out that my prediction has come true. The traditional model of selling CDs is no longer an indicator for a successful artist or project.
However, this does not mean that the music industry itself is dead! Yes, the last 5 years were tough but it looks like the paradigm shift to the digital age and a new branding model is complete. Music Industry 2.0 (or more like 3.0).
So where are my music people? I know that you have strong opinions about the industry. Feel free to vent by leaving comments!
